For months I was looking for a tiny laptop (something I could have on me all the time) but eventually I gave up. The best I could find was the Fujitsu LifeBook which cost around 2,000. I needed a new MacBook so it just wasn't worth the price.
But this week I heard about a new laptop that I can't wait to buy! The Asus Eee costs less than an Ipod and is the very definition of portable. It's gotten rave reviews, it's only 7 inches, it weighs 1.9 lbs, and it comes in different colors.
Here's a video review:

How cool are these? They take up no shelf space AND they keep your toothbrush heads from being exposed to bacteria. They're adorable too! Only $5 for 2.
For a more serious-looking design try this metal suction holder (also $5) for 2 from Kuglers.
I especially love functional furnishings that take up no floor space. When you live in a tiny manhattan apartment that's one of the most important considerations.
This little contraption is cheap, easy, and multi-functional. Magazines and toilet paper stored right next to the commode.
This Mini Chandelier from Container Store is all of 4-3/4" diam. x 5" h! I can't wait to see it in person! They're only $15 and are lit up by LED lights.
God I love these. You can get a huge variety of them at all sorts of prices through ebay.com.
Just remember that true miniature books, according to the Miniature Book Society, are smaller than 3" (length or width or thickness). For me, up to 5" is acceptable. Just don't get the dollhouse scale books because those don't have actual text in them because they'd be too small to read.
